"Yesterday. Was one of the saddest days of our lives, our beautiful black and white cat Coco aged 14 was clearly coming to the end of her life, she wasn’t eating and was all skin and bone. We decided that the kindest and last thing we could do for her was to have her out to sleep. As she hated going in the cat carrier, the car and the vets surgery we decided to see if we could get a vet to come to our house and help our baby on her way. Our local pet shop recommended Kathryn at Scourfield so we contacted her. She came at 10am yesterday morning . Coco took to her immediately which was quite unusual, she usually took her time to get to know someone new. So We gave Coco a big handful of treats which was heaven for her as she usually only got 5or 6. While she was eating, Kathryn gave her a sedative jab to make her sleep before the big one. When she was asleep Kathryn administered the drug and Coco passed away quietly and peacefully.Kathryn is a most compassionate, caring and lovely person, she made a horrible event less so and our cat had no stress, just quietly went to sleep. "When my 17 year old baby boy Freud was recently diagnosed with early stage kidney disease I was devastated. He had been showing classic signs (drinking more water and urinating more frequently) and it turns out that Google is as terrifying a place to diagnose animal's illnesses as it is human's, so by the time I spoke to Kathryn I was a real mess! My 2 boys are indoor cats and I didn't want to further add to the already traumatic experience and stress for Freud to have to be taken to the vet as he hates the pet taxi and the car! I had trouble finding a vet that covered my area, or that would be able to do the blood tests and necessary treatments at home until I came across Kathryn. Not only is she professional and very reasonable, her manner is so lovely that both boys really enjoy it when she visits! Kathryn is always patient when answering any questions and kind and supportive whilst remaining honest. I'm delighted to say that Freud is doing great after a change to his diet, and I feel blessed and reassured that there is someone who cares and generally has his best interests at heart on call should I need them.
